Stack & Sort

Stack & Sort privacy policy

This policy explains what information the Stack & Sort Android game handles, why, and the choices you have. In short: there is no account, no sign-in and no Logic Labs game server. Your progress stays on your phone. The game shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google collects some technical information to deliver them.

Who is responsible?

Stack & Sort is developed by Gert Odendaal trading as Logic Labs, a sole proprietorship based in Centurion, South Africa. For support or privacy requests, email gertodendaal@logiclabs.co.za.

What stays on your device

  • Game progress: your level, the level you are partway through, coins, undos and hints, the purity you earned on each level, the cures you have brewed, the lab rooms, liquids and glassware you own and use, your daily gift and daily challenge streaks, and which tips you have already seen.
  • Settings: sound effects, music, vibration and colour shapes on or off.
  • Your age group: only whether you are an adult or under 18 (see Children below).

This is saved in the app’s private storage on your phone. It is not uploaded to Logic Labs and we cannot see it. Android app backup is switched off for the game, so progress is not copied to a cloud backup. Uninstalling the game or clearing its storage in Android settings deletes it permanently.

Ads and Google

The game is free and supported by ads from Google AdMob, delivered through the Google Mobile Ads SDK:

  • Rewarded ads that you choose to watch for extra undos, hints, an extra tube, or triple coins after a level.
  • Occasional full-screen ad breaks between levels: never in the first levels, at most after every third win, and never straight after you watched a rewarded ad.

To show and measure ads, Google’s SDK automatically collects and shares with Google:

  • your device’s IP address, which may be used to estimate your general location;
  • app and ad interactions, such as app launches, taps and ad views;
  • diagnostic information about the performance of the app and the SDK;
  • device identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID.

Google uses this data for advertising (including personalised ads where you allow it), analytics and fraud prevention. It is encrypted in transit. Logic Labs does not receive this data about you individually; AdMob gives us only aggregated reports such as the number of ads shown and earnings. See Google’s Mobile Ads data disclosure, how Google uses information from apps that use its services and Google’s Privacy Policy. Google may process information outside South Africa under its own policies and retention periods.

Your choices

  • Age group: you can change your answer at any time from Settings → Ad privacy in the game.
  • Consent: for adults, where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), Google’s consent message asks for your choice before personalised ads are shown. You can change it later from Settings → Ad privacy.
  • Advertising ID: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your Android privacy settings.
  • Delete your game data: uninstall the game or clear its storage in Android settings. There is no Logic Labs account to delete.
  • Rewarded ads are optional: you never have to watch one to keep playing. Undos, hints and the extra tube can also be bought with coins you earn by playing.

Permissions

The game asks Android for internet and network-state access (to load ads), vibration (for gentle haptic feedback, which you can turn off in Settings) and the advertising ID permission (used by Google’s ads SDK). It does not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or precise location.

Children

Stack & Sort is a family-friendly game for players aged 9 and over. Before you first play, the game asks for your age group: Under 13, 13–15, 16–17, 18+ or Prefer not to say. It saves only whether you are an adult or under 18, on your phone. It never stores or sends your age or birth date, and Logic Labs never receives it.

  • Under 18 or prefer not to say: every ad request is tagged for child-directed treatment and as under the age of consent. Google then shows only non-personalised ads suitable for children and limits the data it processes for those requests.
  • Everyone: all ads are limited to Google’s general-audience (G) content rating.

The game has no accounts, chat, purchases or ways to share personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents or guardians can contact us at gertodendaal@logiclabs.co.za with any question, and we will delete anything a child has sent us.

No sales, no purchases

We do not sell personal information. The current version has no in-app purchases, no player accounts, no chat and no Logic Labs analytics. Coins are earned only by playing and cannot be bought.

Closed-test signup

Tester access is managed through our Logic Labs Testers Google Group, shared by all Logic Labs games. When you ask to join, Google processes your Google-account membership information. Logic Labs group owners and managers use your email address, display name and request details to approve membership and manage test access. The member list is restricted to owners and managers.

The website does not separately collect or store a signup-email list. Joining is for testing access, not consent to marketing. Google Play separately processes your test opt-in. You can leave the group and opt out of the Play test at any time. We keep active membership information until you leave or testing ends, and delete declined join requests we control after 90 days. Contact us to request removal of membership information we manage.

Support emails

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to send, such as your phone model or screenshots, and use it only to help you. Your email provider and ours also handle these messages. We delete resolved support emails after 12 months, unless we need them for a legal obligation or an unresolved dispute.

Your rights

You can ask us about, correct or delete information you have sent us by emailing gertodendaal@logiclabs.co.za. Requests about information held by Google are handled through Google’s privacy controls. You can also raise a concern with South Africa’s Information Regulator.
